Flexibility wins for The Well-Suited Group founder at Admin Awards
The Well-Suited Group Founding Director Lauren Calvert has been recognised for her innovative administrative support business and championing flexibility for Executive Assistants at inaugural The Australian Admin Awards in Sydney.
Lauren was named the 2021 winner of the Visionary Award which recognises Australia’s most innovative admin professional who is change catalyst within their business – and in Lauren’s case, the wider administrative support industry.
Traditionally, high level executive assistant roles are offered only as full-time positions, requiring long hours and limited flexibility.
Since opening its doors in 2019, The Well-Suited Group has supported dozens of experienced EAs and high-level Executives in creating flexible work arrangements that suit both parties while providing premium executive support.
“I’m thrilled to be recognised at the Australian Admin Awards and am honoured to win the Visionary category. It’s incredible to have our work at The Well-Suited Group seen as driving positive change for careers and for businesses,” Lauren said
“As a career EA, and before starting The Well-Suited Group, I set out in search of more flexibility myself and soon realised that if I was able to break away from the traditional working week, I would be able to tap into a talent pool of experienced EAs who were sidelined by the requirement to work full time.
“Women, in particular, have been seeking increased workplace flexibility for years, whether that is mothers returning to the workforce hoping to balance family commitments or those seeking less hours to increase their ability to care for a family member, which was my own experience.
“At the same time, I knew I still wanted to work with and support high level executives, so I launched and pitched The Well-Suited Group to execs such as Chairs, Non-Executive Directors and C-Suite Executives who still wanted admin assistance but not in a full-time capacity. Then, I could create flexible roles and match them with experienced EAs who were looking to maintain work / life balance and make a similar commitment.”
The Well-Suited Group is active in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. All The Well-Suited Group EAs have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in corporate administrative roles.
