Beyond the Office: Supporting Community on Spinifex Country

Every now and then you have an experience that stops you in your tracks — something that shifts your perspective and takes you completely out of your day-to-day. My recent trip to Tjuntjuntjara, (the most remote community in Australia) on Spinifex Country was one of those moments.

Earlier this year The Well-Suited Group was approached by Spinifex Health Service to deliver administrative training for their administration team and community members. In collaboration with the incredible Jenny Pither from Allied Health Admin and Consulting, we worked closely with the team to understand their environment, their challenges, and the unique complexities that shape how they work.

Our approach to training has always been deeply tailored, but there is nothing more meaningful than being invited into a community, listening and learning firsthand, and walking away feeling richer from the experience.

Thank you to the Spinifex community for welcoming us so openly, for sharing your culture, and for trusting us to support the vital work you do. There was something profoundly grounding; almost spiritual — about this visit.

A personal highlight was visiting the Arts Centre and meeting local artist Timo Hogan whose work has been exhibited at the MCA and NGV.

As always if you want to hear more about my visit, or our administrative training programs more broadly please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
