AI Adoption is accelerating, but challenges remain

While many Australian businesses have adopted AI for automating routine tasks, the next frontier is leveraging AI for strategic decision-making. As of late 2024, 40% of Australian SMEs are adopting AI for tasks like data processing and customer support.

However, many businesses are struggling with a lack of technical talent and skills to utilise it fully, which 49% of leaders identify as the biggest barrier to AI adoption.
